Available Now: TAG’s 2021 TB Pipeline Report Chapters

Treatment Action Group is excited to announce the release of two newly available tuberculosis (TB) chapters of our 2021 Pipeline Report, a landmark annual publication that reviews progress in research and development for TB diagnostic, preventive, and treatment innovations.

These two Pipeline Report chapters describe the current research and development landscapes for TB diagnostics and treatment.

The 2021 TB Diagnostics Pipeline Report by David Branigan reviews the latest innovations in TB screening and diagnostic technologies, detailing key specifications and characteristics of new and emerging tools and offering suggestions on how to fix inequities fueling present diagnostic gaps.

The 2021 TB Treatment Pipeline Report by Lindsay McKenna summarizes results from three phase III trials of shorter treatment regimens for drug-resistant TB; and provides an overview of the clinical trials pipeline for new TB drugs and regimens, organized in order of proximity to reaching TB-affected communities.

TAG’s 2021 TB Pipeline Report is rounded out by two prevention-focused chapters that were released in October and are linked again below:

TB Vaccines by Mike Frick
