India's National Essential Diagnostics List

All,

India just released a draft National EDL for comments and input. Please see: https://www.icmr.nic.in/sites/default/files/whats_new/Draft_NEDL.pdf

This makes India the first country to adapt the WHO EDL, and make progress towards implementation. It will be great to see other LMICs do the same, to ensure better access to tests.

I have yet to really dig deep into this document, but it’s clear this will be an invaluable resource for other countries looking to adopt/adapt an EDL. Amazing work, India has really shown the way forward!

Does India have plans for a set of Essential Diagnostics Policies?
