WHO seeks public comment for HIV target product profiles

Call for online public consultation – target product profiles for point-of-care tests for CD4 and diagnosis of HIV in children <18 months of age

The World Health Organization’s HIV, hepatitis, and STI department is conducting an online public consultation on draft target product profiles for point-of-care CD4 tests to support identification of people living with advanced HIV disease and point-of-care tests for diagnosis of HIV in children <18 months of age, ideally both being device-free. The online survey will enable input from a large group of key stakeholders in order to inform these high priority target product profiles for new HIV diagnostics and build consensus to develop final target product profiles.

Please see this link (https://www.who.int/in-vitro-diagnostic/innovation/en/) for more, including to review the target product profiles and provide feedback through the online surveys.

Please note that the public consultation will remain open until December 16th, 2019 – your input beforehand would be much appreciated.
